For my first practicum, I had the opportunity to teach at Stanley Jones School & Alice Jamieson Academy for 5 weeks. Within this practicum, I taught social studies, ELA, drama, health, and CTS to 3 different grade 5/6 classes.

Genre Unit Plan

Within this genre unit, students explore genres including fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, realistic fiction, and mystery through games, videos, drawing, and interacting with others.

Exploring Healthy Eating

By utilizing Canada's Food Guide, students in both grade 5 and 6 are able to evaluate and examine aspects of nutrition and the access to food.

Social Studies/ELA Indigenous Stories Lesson

Within this lesson, students will explore Indigenous stories by listening to Indigenous perspectives and sharing information with their peers.
